I'm not a writer. I read writers. Really good writers.
I've been surrounded by writers my whole life. My grandmother was a screen writer. My mother supported us working for writers. I illustrated writing. I have friends who are writers.

Why I've always been a reader. My home was host to many a party. Since my family was in the film business storytime for me was led by some terrific actors. My mom let me dress and stay up for the first hour of so of the party. When it was time for bed the (actors) Aunts and Uncles would compete to read to me. If it was a story they loved, they would act out the parts. I was a very lucky little girl.

I grew up, took to photography, and followed my camera to NYC. At first I did street photography. It didn't feed me but I loved it. I was also doing some experimental work with Polaroid film. At the time Polaroid was very supportive of artists who were using their materials in a new and creative way. They sent me equipment and film.

From there i moved onto photo illustration. I illustrated book jackets. Mostly fiction, mostly stories about the human condition.
I would be assigned a book, read it and somewhere in the story would be the image.

Currently I am living in LA and LV. I've been shooting poker on and off since the mid 90s.

I am compiling my images of the Venice boardwalk that will be a book.

As for the experimental stuff I'm still at as are many of you because now the Iphone is my Polaroid. I really love all the photo apps and cameras. the Ipad is so much fun to use for post production.

I am doing some printing as well. I will put up prints for sale.
